How We Started
Lake Macquarie Family Medical Practice opened its doors on the 1st July 2004 founded by Dr Julianne Schwenke and Mr Peter Phillips.
The practice building was initially a 3-bedroom weatherboard cottage brought to the site some 50 years ago on the back of a truck. The builder, Richard Fox, carried out substantial modification renovations and extensions between April and June 2004. The resulting building was recognised by Lake Macquarie City Council in the Refurbished Building category as Best Disability Access project for 2004.
About Us
In 2022, the practice was sold to Dr Amrutha Anantharaju and Dr Veerendra Chitragar who both work within the practice as principal doctors.
Joined by a very supportive and friendly team including Dr Titus Mazhavancheryil, rotating RACGP Registrars, Practice Manager, two nurses and our friendly receptionists.
